I have been working at AT&T full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Paycheck came every 2 weeks for 30 years. Dividends were generous.

Cons

Middle management are robots-non thinking. People don't seem to care anymore and it's quite obvious.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Leave us alone and let us do our jobs. It never happened in 30 years-still waiting. The best thing you have going for you is the fact that employees are going to answer to their customers and not you.

    Pros

    Great company and industry leader

    Cons

Loved the company before I got to this position. A ton of pointless work to justify your job. Sometimes I feel management has no idea whats going on in the field

    I worked at AT&T part-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

Training actually helps if you take it seriously.
    Pay is decent for retail.
    Free phone and service.

    Cons

    Horrible management.
Goals get higher and higher but thats normal for commissioned jobs i think.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Try not to hire the biggest ass kisser.
    Treat your employees with respect.
Consistently micromanaging isn't going to help, your reps hear it everyday. If someone constantly hears the same thing over and over eventually it will be meaningless.

    No opinion of CEO
