    Pros

    Everyone is so helpful and will work overtime. There is a lot of dedication to the company and people have been working at AT&T for over 20 years. The process changes since being combined with Cingular has made HR processes complicated.

    Cons

    It took me way too long to get access into the AT&T systems. There is a lot of restructuring. There should be more corporate finance positions for entry-level students.

    Pros

    There are (were) many really great caring people, hardworking employees there who take pride in a job well done. Benefits & pay previously were good, many of the managers were great to work with.

    Cons

    Culture of micromanagement & refusal to utilize the technologies they promote in their own business. Not pro flex scheduling or telecommuting. Only life/work balance came from being able to use earned vacation or personal time for appointments, family situations, etc. Executives from Randall Stephenson (salary 22-27 million) down exhibit callus disregard for employees & retirees. Example, in 2012 after announcing a very profitable year for AT&T, A&P was sold/merged with private equity firm. All who were eligible were basically forced into early retirement, most too young to collect retirement so basically forced into unemployment with the other 9% already looking for jobs. This year the retiree benefit cost increased by 270%, a much higher rate of increase than for employees. Now the company is outsourcing the majority of the remaining employees jobs in A&P. They have little regard for customers, seeing them only as $ signs. Greed. This is why I say it may be a good place to get some experience & move on because it is no longer a place to make a career as it was when it was Southern Bell or BellSouth.

    Advice to Management

    Don't outsource the remaining employees, you will lose a wealth of knowledge & dedication. You get what you pay for, if you run the company with cheap outsource employees you can't expect to get quality work, only those looking for a paycheck until they can find something better.
