Cons

ATT sold YP just enough to stop paying our salary, benefits, and retirement but still kept 47% stake interest. So they still make money from our efforts but no longer have to pay us.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    Benefits and compensation are really the only reason why I would recommend working for at&t. 401K, pension, tuition reimbursement, health insurance, and paid time off were all exemplary for such a low-level position.

    Cons

    Do not expect to be promoted into a non-retail sales channel position. The company has a very short-sighted view of customers; pushing to increase revenue per customer as opposed to retaining the customers that we currently had. Also expect to be measured on every possible metric as management keep subordinates under a microscope.

    Pros

    Good pay if you are willing to be bullied and emotionally destroyed

    Cons

    Management is no longer about the customer or it employees. Won't bend on any rules even if you are so sick that it would take an ambulance to get you home

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Your staff are your foundation. If your foundation crumbles you fall down hard and fast. They will berate and ridicule you. And, if you have a medical condition...most definitely discriminate
