Former Employee - Communications Technician in San Diego, CA
Former Employee - Communications Technician in San Diego, CA

I worked at AT&T full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Great pay, good benefits (matching 401K, medical, dental, vision, life insurance), generous vacation, personal days which can be taken in two hour chunks for personal business.

Cons

You will work some weekends and holidays. Don't get sick more than once a year or for more than two days or your attendance record will be affected and you could become ineligible for transfers.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Listen to lower level managers warnings before making critical decisions.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I am pleased with management for the most part. My manager is approachable and has good communication skills. The only thing I would suggest for him would be to try not to keep us out too late haha

I have been working at AT&T as an intern

    Pros

The pay is pretty good. The hours tend to be fairly flexible depending on your department. The people are nice and laid back. Good chance of re-hire for full time position afterwards.

    Cons

The work itself can sometimes be kind of dull. Definite need to get out and find things to do to keep you occupied in your free time (in the beginning there will be lots of it)
