Former Employee - Customer Associate in Riverside, CA
Former Employee - Customer Associate in Riverside, CA

I worked at AT&T full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

Pay, benefits, Union representation & the security of working for a stable company.

Cons

No downside until they were purchased by a private equity firm and I decided to retire after 32 years to preserve my pension & benefits.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

If possible, try to continue the core values that were shared when AT&T still owned the business.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Great company to work for, great pay if you're in right city

    Cons

Work hours, some locations aren't paid the same rate, it depends on the cost of living for that area

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Increase promotion rate from within the company, use the people that know your systems inside and out

Former Employee - Communications Technician in Denver, CO

    I worked at AT&T full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

The health and vacation benefits are good, the salary is competitive.

    Cons

They're getting too much into the micromanaging with ridiculous tracking systems.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If management would concentrate on what the employees' contributions are instead of what the bean counters' systems say, it would allow time for more productivity.
