I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 10 years

Pros

Good pay, great benefits and ample resources provided to employees which supports reaching individual potential and accomplishing company and personal objectives.

Cons

Large corporation with highly regimented command and control structure can be somewhat stifling to creativity and frustrating to those who want to see things change quickly.

I worked at AT&T full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Pay was okay but could not rely on increases through the union.

    Cons

Management is clueless on potential of their employees hence the laziness. Promotion, what is that? Lower level employees know more about their job than the manager do. Job performance review was a joke since the manager does not know what you do on your job. Manager/s (ones I dealt with) loved to lie to you and blow smoke up your ass to make you feel good. No respect for my previous manager.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of the dead weight and especially the lazy managers who do not know their jobs and their employees they supervise. Use the young and talented minds to grow the company.

Decent money but not worth being treated like cattle.

    I worked at AT&T

    Pros

The money is pretty good. The people are great to work with. They also give you a company phone for you to use.

    Cons

Management could care less about you or your career goals. You are replaceable by anyone willing to be tricked into taking the position. As soon as you express interest in a promotion, you get written up for no reason so you do not qualify for the position that you have been working for. Customers get to call you every name in the book and you have to sit back and take it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take a vested interest in your employees and stop worrying about just yourselves.
