I have been working at AT&T full-time for more than a year

Pros

Good pay for the job. guaranteed pay increase due to union potential for commission based on sales monthly.

Cons

Constant changes on focus for sales goals, managers are constantly being interchanged to multiple locations and lots of micro-management.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hold everyone from management down to honest sales, not shoving sales goals down customers and employees throats.

I spent 10 years here and everything is about average!

    Pros

Opportunities to move around and fair pay for white collar professionals. If you get on with the mobility side, then you can find career stability. In addition, opportunities exist to work from home.

    Cons

You are only a number here and don't forget it! Compensation in Business Sales is not appealing to top tier sellers when compared to hi-tech companies. If you get caught in the wrong organization, then you will be impacted by routine workforce reductions. Advancement to Level 3 positions and beyond are more political than talent. Excessive amounts of "compliance" training and internal processes bog down productively and CSAT.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Trim the fat...that means processes and not just people.

A very political company, that promotes people based on who you know, and not what you know.

    Pros

The Union, Great benefits, Benefits, Benefits, and Benefits..

    Cons

Upper management, doesn't care about their customers, to much outsourcing to other countries, doesn't appreciate their people, and they view you as a ATT I.D., and to much changes in management, and they are investing millions in the wrong things.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of Upper Management, stop demoting hard working managers, and start looking at your Vice President he is the problem.
