Disapproves of CEO

I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Good pay for the area

Cons

Just a number, they could care less about you. Morale of all the employees is horrible. Did not meet a single employee that enjoyed being there. In the call center, they treat you like you are in a concentration camp. After working there for 3 years, My supervisor had the nerve to tell me" you were in the bathroom for 4 and a half minutes, what took you so long" "It only takes 30 seconds to walk to the bathroom, you should not take that long". After that, I was done.

Advice to Management

work on Morale instead of just stats. An employee with good morale will give you good stats.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Good work-life balance, low pressure environment, ability to work from home when needed, good exposure to the wireless industry

    Cons

General level of talent is not very high. Very difficult to move and get promoted no matter how well you do and how much your work is appreciated. Overall not a place where you can get much job satisfaction and career growth. Very uninspiring to work daily with a large community of people who don't have technical depth, are not very innovative, but just toe the company line and perform in a very conservative and company-approved way. And this is the Labs organization.

    Advice to Management

Cut the workforce by half or more, and reorganize with clear goals, keeping only truly talented and innovative employees.

    I worked at AT&T full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

great pay and benefits...vacation time is awesome

    Cons

they base your goals on customer surveys...the questions on the surveys are basically toward the 09company but go against you so you have little control over meeting your stats

    Advice to Management

find a new way to measure reps job performance..of course you have to have goals but a customer survey that most customers really are rating the company and not the rep is totally unfair..go visit this call center and see how some of the supervisors and the management operate this place and you will see why this call center is not meeting up to it's expectations..even though they will put on an act while you are there
