I have been working at AT&T full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Good pay, benefits, tuition reimbursement and job security (unionized)

Cons

Dealing with the general public (people can be really insensitive, rude and just plain dumb) .... hard to move up due to company politics, must be a way above average seller to get promoted to manager (or be someones favorite). the attendance policy is weak.. you get a point even if you are sick and have a doc note. whats the point of personal/sick days then?

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Not the best sellers make the best leaders. If someone on your team is showing leadership skills, help that person move up in the company.

    I worked at AT&T

    Pros

I really liked working there. I liked my supervisors and co-workers. The pay is great if you can do the job and the benefits are excellent. Very fast paced.

    Cons

This job can be very stressful, when you are being yelled at non-stop from both sides of the phone. The split shift sucked. You work 8:00 am to 11:00 am, get a 3 hour break, then work 2:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Oh, that's if you don't have mandatory OT in between.
