I have been working at AT&T part-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Plenty of learning possibilities through one on one sales trainings from team members, monthly computer training's on products, services, protocols. Provides you with the tools and access to information that is very useful to be successful in your role. Upper management has set aside time to allow employees to plan on their own future success within the company.

    Cons

Industry is always changing. Management is not always kept up to date, or pass along information to those out in the field. It becomes your responsibility to find out information on your own. Different channels have little space for promotions, and unless yo have connections outside of your team, it may be difficult to find an opening in a different channel within AT&T. Job security is often tense since there are always rumors of positions being phased out.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Some employees may be content in their roles while other employees would like to grow. A manager should be able to find those who want to grow and help them find their path.
