I worked at AT&T full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Co. actually asks your preference on how to be managed or coached. Nice perks, company phone, great benefits, union. If you like your coworkers, you'll like the job.

Cons

Management is always being changed/moved around. Its no longer about selling phones, they want you force feeding tablets, data cards, wireless home phone service, overpriced high end accessories and Home security. Customers have ridiculous expectations and know how to "work" the system.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Advice to management is futile. Its all about the earnings and it will always be.

I have been working at AT&T as a contractor (less than an year)

    Pros

They pay well, and at least my managers don't push people to work overtime.

    Cons

There's very little teamwork, and while the management preaches agility, they don't actually support it. The product owners aren't particularly engaged with the development process, and the company doesn't even have free coffee for its employees.
Innovation is a thing long past here.
