Pros

Co. actually asks your preference on how to be managed or coached. Nice perks, company phone, great benefits, union. If you like your coworkers, you'll like the job.

Cons

Management is always being changed/moved around. Its no longer about selling phones, they want you force feeding tablets, data cards, wireless home phone service, overpriced high end accessories and Home security. Customers have ridiculous expectations and know how to "work" the system.

Advice to Management

Advice to management is futile. Its all about the earnings and it will always be.

    Pros

They pay well, and at least my managers don't push people to work overtime.

    Cons

There's very little teamwork, and while the management preaches agility, they don't actually support it. The product owners aren't particularly engaged with the development process, and the company doesn't even have free coffee for its employees.
Innovation is a thing long past here.

    Pros

Good discounts other than that there is not much good to say about working for this company in Austin, TX. If you're an investor the financial outlook is probably positive, at the expense of employees.

    Cons

No promotion potential, no training, leadership does not appreciate employees, pay raises are few and far between and when you are lucky enough to get a raise it amounts to about 1% at best. Benefits keep getting worse and worse here.

    Advice to Management

Provide meaningful training that actually helps employees not sessions that promote how great the company is. The people who write good reviews for you here are likely older employees who were fortunate enough to benefit from the Whitacre run corporation.
