    I worked at AT&T

    Pros

Strong base wage/salary and plenty of commission. Competitive benefits. Plenty of carrier opportunities.

    Cons

Goals are tough to reach. These expectations create a lot of stress.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

I have been working at AT&T full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Excellent salary for entry level account management positions.
Flexibility in creating your own day to day schedule.
    Access to technological perks.

    Cons

    Adversarial management relationships.
Upper management doesn't understand the metrics implemented to track success and as a result has to frequently change them.
Many issues with commission payouts and timing.
Little opportunity for non lateral career advancements.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Recognition for top performances is great but too much of what is recognized for is actually gaming the system. Those who are promoted are not those putting in a high level off effort, rather those people who manipulate what they are selling to meet arbitrary quotas rather than deliver on their promises to their customers

    Doesn't Recommend
    Negative Outlook
    Approves of CEO
