I have been working at AT&T full-time (more than 10 years)

Pros

The only positive of working for at&t is the pay and the benefits.

Cons

Management is very bad and demoralizing toward hourly employees! If you value your sanity, look elswhere!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Lose MSOC! its tedious, and destroying productivity! Most timesheets are falsified because you don't have an fti for taking an hour to fill out your timesheet every day. It is the most ridiculous implement I have seen this company make! Managers, if you owned a company, would you make your employees use this?

Doesn't Recommend
Negative Outlook
No opinion of CEO

Rewarding financially for the "work" I do, stultifying work environment, obvious but difficult to prove age bias

I have been working at AT&T full-time (more than 10 years)

    Pros

Union pay, though the union (IBEW) fails miserably to respond appropriately to the changes in the business, good benefits - pension, employer contributions to 401K, medical and dental, though employee contributions have increased in each of the past two contract negotiations

    Cons

Mindless middle management that is mostly concerned with safeguarding their jobs and offer little to no leadership or mentorship to their direct reports, inept union leadership, in fact in general terrible middle and lower management in both the company and the union staffing

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take care of yourself and take care of your employees - the top management (CEO and his cadre) care nothing for you, only about the growth of the business, nor do they care about what product they are selling as long as they have a market for it

I worked at AT&T full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The company has a competitive edge and provides the best communication service. It meets the promises made and goes above and beyond requested. There is plenty of personal growth that can give an employee a professional competitive edge.

    Cons

The company has many avenues of service and a great leaning curve. AT&T provides many types of training in every position, compensation for insurance and 401K has a higher increase, and AT&T provides many opportunities for advancement.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

AT&T provides the service it promises to deliver.
