I have been working at AT&T full-time (more than 8 years)

Pros

Great benefits and training opportunities are endless. You have the ability to shape and mold your own career.

Cons

Extremely political. As the old adage goes "It's not what you know. It is who you know". That certainly applies at AT&T. Hard work is not rewarded with promotion. It is rewarded with more work and increased responsibilities for the same pay.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Become more employee centric in your thinking. Besides, it takes each and every one of us to run the company.

    Pros

Entry level positions are accessible to inexperienced workers; reasonable job security when compared to others companies in the telecom industry

    Cons

Pay is slightly below average; workload is as large as it can be for entry level inbound work; scheduling isn't flexible

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your model for managing entry level personnel is outdated. If you bother making an investment in a person, you should continue to do so throughout their tenure with the company.

I have been working at AT&T full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

The job is very demanding, however, it's a job. In these tough times, it's hard to even find a paycheck. The money isn't the best, but they do give three raises per year. So, if you are willing to stay long enough, the money will eventually be there.

    Cons

    None, other than the pay.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire people with educations and start their pay at a competitive price.
