I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than a year)

Pros

You get to make your own schedule and there is a lot of flexibility. Great benefits with a great vacation package.

Cons

Understanding how you get compensated is hard due to having so many metrics with different weighted pay outs. You have to have good working knowledge on hundreds of different products. Also, it can be hard to distinguish your role to the customer since they see you as a service manager more often then in sales.

    Pros

    Great Benefits, nice pay, company phone with restrictions, HRA is awesome. Paid training.

    Cons

    Nothing is ever done the same, several things change on a daily basis, awful point system, too much micro managing going on, the company wants you to treat the customers like a walking ATM machine, the comp plan is horrible now compared to the past.

    Advice to Management

    Make sure that all employees are treating customer's with respect, and treating their customer like they would want to be treated if they were being assisted by them. The customer is always right.

    I have been working at AT&T full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    You are union and you should always get them evolved in every event. Medical, dental,401k, and sales experience. Good people work there. Senior reps that got fired where a big help when I started.

    Cons

    The managers will watch the cameras on ever transaction you do and review them with you. They usually do not say good things about it. They say they want you to have great customer service but they really want you to annoy customers with products they don't want. Ur survey that asked if you would recommend AT&T to friends and family is actually reflected on the rep and the company dosent care.

    Advice to Management

    Management are just puppets and it's not there fault. Cooperate has ideas that are ridiculousness and don't have a clue of how people sell, just what looks good on paper.
