I have been working at AXA full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

a dynamic and growing company with a global footprint - huge in Europe, substantial (but focused) in the US and growing in Asia
lots of opportunities if you can find them
consistent and stable through the 2008-2010 crisis and recovering steadily now.
good mid-term strategy (to 2015)
charismatic CEO/ Deputy and COO
French work culture - work hard when you work but good work-life balance with lots of vacation time

Cons

very decentralised so not very flexible to make quick decisions
management tends to focus on what they can see best (Europe)
difficult to explore global opportunities

Advice to ManagementAdvice

longer term vision
less re-organizations/ acquisitions/ disposals/ "partnerships"
more emphasis on global mobility

Recommends
Positive Outlook
Approves of CEO

I have been working at AXA full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Collegues are really good teamworkers!
Challenging environment with wide opportunites to learn something new.

    Cons

Very strictly tied to the mother company, this leads to constant fights regarding IT strategy.
These times are difficult for insurance companies here in Hungary, such as AXA.
Expense optimalizations are ongoing, projects were cut down, etc. Morale is quite low.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Look for opportunities to sell more. Look for alternate channels. Try to make it simple for customers to buy one-shot products like travel insurances.

    Recommends

    Approves of CEO
