    A dying company

I have been working at AXA Rosenberg

    Pros

Still has a high number of intelligent people.

    Cons

The new management has systematically destroyed its culture which made it a success. After several years of poor performance, the senior management used it an excuse to take over the company through giving promotion to those who came from the parent company, but either denying promotion or laying off people who spoke against the management. The problem lays in the problems in the senior management, not the intelligent people who are trying to make it a better place.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Eliminate cronyism, nepotism, and racism so prevalent in the work place. Reward people for their work that shows ways to make its business better, not get rid of them. There are cancerous cells in places.

I have been working at AXA Rosenberg

    Pros

AXA R still retains a lot of its "small company" culture, which makes it a pretty unique place to work for the Financial Services sector. You can still meet and know everyone in the office, you are not just another number or headcount and you have a real responsibility towards the success of the firm. This is also reflected in AXAR's bonus structure - it is based on a portion of the company's profit and everyone has an equivalent opportunity to participate.

    Cons

The downside of such a small company is the extraordinary gossipy and political nature of the office environment. Sometimes AXAR gets a little too political for its own good, and that does not reflect well on senior management or veteran employees of the firm.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

don't lose sight of the axa rosenberg way of treating employees - make them feel good about coming in to work, even when times are tough.
