Former Employee - Manager Trainee in Deland, FL

    Pros

They worked with my schedule so I could keep going to school.
It was a paycheck and it paid the bills

    Cons

    Long Hours
Sketchy Neighborhoods you had to go into to collect money. Actually had a cop pull up and tell me I shouldn't be in the neighborhood because it was dangerous.
Unrealistic expectations. You had to get a certain amount of money collected per month from people who do not want to pay it.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Grow up, stop shifting out general managers. You can not have continued success if you keep changing managers every year.

    Current Employee - Sales Manager
    Current Employee - Sales Manager

    Pros

    - Great employees in most areas
    - Name brand products
    - Getting to help decent, hardworking people (not all are decent OR hardworking)
    - Closed every Sunday and some major holidays

    Cons

    - Management, management, management
    - Customers can become ignorant even when you're trying to help
    - Little to no work/life balance (50+ hours per week, not uncommon to work 10-12 hours every day)

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Realize that the world is changing and employees expect more out of a company than just a paycheck these days. Happy employees need balance and the environment on the store level doesn't allow for much of that...
