Current Employee – been working at Abbott Labs

Pros – Many smart people, well-respected products for hospitals and labs. Interesting jobs working to help people medically with products and services. Some management is good - if you are lucky you get good support.

Cons – Shrinking US presence, much of production moved overseas and US people just laid off. As mentioned above, quality of management is hit or miss, with more on the miss side.

Advice to Senior Management – Listen more to people directly involved in the work, instead of just accepting what DVPs say. Remember, complaints are data, and very valuable if you listen and respond. Don't fire people who bother to tell you what is wrong, instead listen and make changes.
