Pros
A large company like Abbott offers a great deal of potential if you know where to look. I know several people who have been able to climb the corporate ladder from the most humble beginnings.
Cons
It wasn't always a good thing for those people to climb the corporate ladder from the most humble beginnings...
Advice to Senior Management
Encourage, reward, and show loyalty to your high achievers and they were return the company the favor by continuing to achieve and perform.
