I have been working at Abbott Nutrition full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

great group to work with, enjoy being part of a colaborative environment and get to work with a bunch of groups within research. Its nice to work with others who are motivated, have goals, and who do the right thing.

    Cons

commensation is lacking compared to other companies conducting equivelant work. Hard to also watch others continually get promoted when they do a significant less amount of work while others are expected to operate at a higher efficiency.

I have been working at Abbott Nutrition full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Finally starting to look at lean principles and utilize metrics as a means to understand and implement programs. Hiring inexperienced people without skills or the ability to communicate into upper level positions provides safe haven for non-performers.

    Cons

No advancement or promotions. Low wages and small yearly bonus. Company does not practice theprinciples it promotes. Does not demote or eliminate poor managers and staff members. Dangles carrotts but never delivers.

    Advice to Management

Stop hiring underqualified management from our competitors who rely on our current employees to do their work. Start promoting from within the organizations and take a look at fair compensation across the board. Start practicing what you preach and clean house on poor management.
