I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

You can get promoted fast in this company; especially if you are willing to move and relocate.
    Opportunites all over the globe.
The job is really hands on- not stuck at a desk.
Keeps you youthful being around a bunch of kids in high school and college- promotes a fun/laid back work enviornment.

    Cons

    On your feet all day.
Everyone is underpaid- especially for all the requirements they are looking for in an associate (both management & associates).
Hours and work schedule (have to work at least one weekend day).
    Don't have major holidays off.

    Doesn't Recommend
    Positive Outlook
    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time (more than an year)

    Pros

    Awesome campus
    Amazing cafeteria
People are typically young, outgoing and have interesting backstories
You get to wear A&F, Hollister and Gilly Hicks to work everyday. This means shorts when it's warm!
Lots of campus events and after hours get-togethers

    Cons

Long, hard hours (depending on your position, average is probably 53-ish hours a week)
High expectations of quality, sometimes impossibly high
If you don't fit the A&F mold, it is likely that you will feel like an outcast

Truthfully, the HR department here is scary. There really is no typical HR team that you would find at any other company of this magnitude (which is ridiculous, by the way), but instead, we have a a large recruiting team and they are looked at as HR. Recruiting for this company is frightening as it is - just read the other reviews - but the fact that this is the team that sets the standards for the company says a lot about expectations. If you are not impossibly outgoing, full of energy, ready to schmooze and party with your superiors, (and let's face it, being skinny seems to be a requirement), then you're going to have a hard time here. That is the truth of the matter.

    Recommends
    Neutral Outlook
    No opinion of CEO
