I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch full-time for more than 5 years

Pros

its a fun place to work, you get to know your staff

Cons

not to much room for growth. Very unethical when promoting to store managers. and the turn over for managers is awful and can become very stressful when you have to work with 2 managers in a store. you do not get pay enough for the amount of work you do and raises with associates and management are not satisfying

Advice to ManagementAdvice

to really look for better ways to help with district managers not depending on only store managers for feedback, but to also make your assistants feel more appreciated and stop a lot of drama from upper management like dm"s n store managers consulting about there assistants in negative ways. overall upper management needs to be more professional.

I have been working at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good looking people, flexible hours, great college job. The stores have something for everyone: accounting whizes can work the store numbers, brand enthusiasts can focus on presentation. The flagships are especially good at providing room for specialization.

    Cons

Low pay, store policies stifle creativity and flexibility for management. The store suffers from high manager turnover due to low pay and job satisfaction.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Pay your managers more and allow them to respond to local changes and problems with unique solutions. Also, speed up the supply chain.

I worked at Abercrombie & Fitch part-time for less than a year

    Pros

Abercrombie and Fitch was flexible when working around employees schedules, calling in to work etc. It is a good place to meet people in a new city."

    Cons

Abercrombie and Fitch is not an easy place to move ahead if you do not have desired "look". Although it is a flexible place to work for teenagers and young adults it is not a well paying job.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

People should be hired based on their work skills, intellect etc. Employees should be more welcoming to customers.
