Pros

Academic Partnerships is a small company that lives and breathes entrepreneurship and has a strong sense of social mission to provide access to top-quality higher education at an affordable price. The company thrives on big, bold thinking, innovation and making things happen. It is a place for shakers and movers and those who want to drive positive and transformative changes in higher education.

Cons

This is not a con, but it is how AP proudly operates. The company’s guiding principles of providing universal access to higher education never change. How we get there does because we have the luxury of controlling our own destiny and adapting to a rapidly changing higher ed environment. Not everyone is cut out for this culture. One must be comfortable with change, not afraid of failure and be willing to push the envelope on a daily basis. Those who thrive in such an environment find it to be exhilarating. Those who don’t usually move on.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Continue innovating and making big bets to provide universal access to higher education.

    Pros

Mr. Best is a great motivational speaker for the company. They have raffles often and lunch once a month. Opportunity for growth*

    Cons

First of all, I would like to state that the reason for good reviews this past month is probably because they came up with this pointless award (given to those who are friends with their managers) and for those who have received it have been asked to submit a review for glassdoor. Do you really think that in the last month the company has really turned around. Read the reviews from last year.
The growth opportunity is only for those who have friends in management.
AP is always changing and having layoffs. They won't even give an individual an opportunity to prove themselves when people are getting fired. They say the layoffs are due to reduction in workforce but then within a month they are hiring for the same positions that were laid off.
Most people are actively applying for other jobs. Whenever someone resigns they are told "Lucky, Take me with you, Congratulations, You escaped (as if you were in prison)." You constantly hear people talking about how much they dislike their job but need to make a living.
AP has no morals or ethics and everyone is out for themselves.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Stop being scared of top management and/or Mr. Best. Speak up when you know something is wrong. Something needs to be done about the performance review process; it's a joke.
