I have been working at Accenture

Pros

The people at Accenture are amazing and are the # 1 reason to work there. They are supportive and just overall great people.

Cons

Accenture is an extremely large company with over 200 thousand employees. You have to advocate yourself for career progression.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make realistic deadlines for go-lives. You can't expect your team to keep pushing toward unrealistic goals and constantly burn themselves out.

I have been working at Accenture

    Pros

As a newly grad or new to SAP technology; the company provided a training oppurtunity to learn the basic of a particular process and lets you enrich that knowledge to perform your responsibilities and dutuies for their clients and lets you exceed your potential to grow and better on your current field.

    Cons

Low salary compare to the rest of Philippine companies, and the work life balance support system or management is not really effective in this company

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Competitive salaries and effective work life balance program imposed to the project level

I was reworded for good work, however Accenure position in the Systems Integration marketplace is unsustainable.

I have been working at Accenture

    Pros

Career advancement can be quick and fair, especially at more junior levels (analyst to consultant, consultant to manager, providing senior management act fairly.
Opportunitites to work all over the world, with the biggest and best companies around the world.
    Training is second to none.
If you're a woman, you will benefit from a desire to have many women at senior levels, and might even get promoted ahead of your time.

    Cons

Career advanacement at higher levels is subject to politics. This results in those who concentrate on doing a good job and delivering their projects often being passed over for promotion in favour of "bum lickers" who do not deliver on projects as they spend their time licking bums.
In the UK, Accenture positions itself as a systems integrator, competing against other SI's, including the low cost Indian outfits. It uses its superior ability to deliver successful projects, and it's reusable assets, along with it's quality and experienced (Human) resources and industry experience as it's selling points. At the same time the projects try to maintain there margin and compete on cost with the low cost outfits. This means that projects are being sold on unrealistic resource levels, making working for them very unpleasant in terms of hours worked and work life balance.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Take your own advice, and always know your best alternative when negotiating deals. Take a long term look, "don't sell at all cost" as is currently happening.
