I worked at Accenture

Pros

good place to learn, be challenged and serve as a stepping stone (assuming you want to go elsewhere). also a good place to stay assuming you are hitting you promotion points

Cons

the firm is very large and that means that you can have great opportunities but also get lost in the cracks if you don't have the right capabilities or get the right support

Advice to ManagementAdvice

rewards your people more at the behest of the stockholders - the pay isn't bad but it is not up to standard compared with other consulting firms

Just another drone in a company with 200,000+ employees

    I worked at Accenture

    Pros

    Five weeks of vacation
    Training opportunities
Good opportunity to build your network and connections, especially since the turnover is so high and helps when you are looking for opportunities elsewhere

    Cons

Senior leadership is all about making their revenue numbers and do not care about what's best for their teams
You get stuck on roles that do not provide value to the client nor to your career path
Performance reviews and ratings are all subjective, and you are laddered against peers that do completely different types of roles/work
Raises and bonuses are uninspiring, and you are SIGNIFICANTLY underpaid compared to comparable positions at other consulting firms
You are treated as a worker bee and completely replaceable by a fresh graduate

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Value your employees and show them that you care
Make an effort to help employees and encourage/reward them to stay with the company BEFORE they have already made the decision to quit (by that time it's too late)
