I have been working at Accenture full-time (less than an year)

Pros

Everyone from Analyst to Manager are pretty young and they're great people to work with. Accenture really hires the best people. The work can vary from project to project, the salary is competitive, and there's lots of room to move around.

Cons

It's a huge company so it's hard to understand your place in the grand scheme. There's also a lot of red tape for simple things.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Make sure your analysts know what going on. It will help productivity, especially if there aren't a lot of other analysts on the team.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

The benefits at Accenture are pretty solid. They are willing to let you transfer just about anywhere within the company and use their size to get pretty good benefits packages.

    Cons

Accenture is a large company and, as such, they can be out of touch with the needs of their employees.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more proactive. It's not possible to keep everyone happy, but there are things that can be done to protect yourself from losing your most valuable asset (your people). If your people are looking around at other openings, there is probably something wrong with what you are doing.

Working with the best people to do leading edge things

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

    Travel is not always required
Coworkers are of very high quality
Clients come in all types and attitudes
Consulting allows for a constantly changing experience
    Great engagement from senior leadership

    Cons

Travel is not always negotiable and is often out of the individual's hands
Unclear or vague roles and responsibilities can result in mismatched expectations around performance
Some people do not get much choice in staffing which can affect career performance

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more transparent with the individuals and share strategies. Bringing consultants together from all over the world is best, not just sending emails that are 20 miles long - people don't often read that. Also, get competitive with compensation.
