Pros

- Very smart people
- Interesting, varied work
- Able to deliver the highest quality of service to our customers and pull in experts from all over the world
- Great place to build a career and gain lots of experience in a short time
- Strong training and employee development programs
- Lots of vacation/paid time off
- People are always willing to help one another

Cons

- Poor work/life balance
- Expectation that you will be available and work 24/7 even when on vacation
- Some projects are scoped poorly and require heroic efforts to deliver for the customer
- As you become more senior, there are fewer and fewer opportunities and you are expected to become an expert at something and deliver the same project over and over
- Salaries for current employees do not keep pace with the market. New hires will often come in to the firm and make much more than people who have been there for 5 plus years

Advice to Management

- Re-examine salary zones for existing employees to ensure that they stay competitive
- Make it more acceptable for senior people to have better work-life balance. Late night, weekend and vacation work should be the exception not the norm.

    Pros

The employee development at Accenture is really great - yearly training budgets are generous. Your experience (either positive or negative) largely depends on your team and projects.

    Cons

A lot of travelling, depending on whether or not you want or don't want that.

  2. Good place to kick-off your career but gets old after a few years

    Pros

    Flexible work schedule
    Lots of Vacation Days
Name recognition of a big company
    Lots of networking opportunities

    Cons

Increasing long hours and expected to work 24/7 as you move up the corporate ladder
Opportunities in your homeoffice city is very scarce translating to weekly travel
Many Senior Management only cares about the bottom line and their own performance objectives, lack of real mentoring

    Advice to Management

Need to train senior management on how to lead junior associates
