    Pros

Company will provide the tools for you to be successful.
Good environment to develop your skills.
The company goes to great lengths to allow individual expression and promotes diversity in their workforce.
Salaries are normally at least 20% above the market.

    Cons

Depending on your project, in order to be successful, work/life balance will likely suffer.
Some individuals have difficulties adjusting to the company's strong desire for uniformity in the delivery of services.
While salaries are normally above market, they will squeeze every penny out of you productivity wise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More progress needs to be made in not burning your employees out.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Interesting projects, many challenges, good training and access to a large amount of material and people to help you do your project. Travel - I've been to India twice and was in Canada for seven months on a project.

    Cons

Typically full-time travel, if you have a family they will need to plan on you being away Monday-Thursday every week and occasionally away on week-ends OR work from home on week-ends during go-lives/project requirements

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Additional training to manage client and Accenture management expectations for on-site work. I believe that Accenture would have the following benefits if it started on a 50% (or less in some cases) travel routine.
    Benefits:
    1. More employee satisfaction, less turn-over
    2. Less cost / carbon footprint
    3. Could provide greater productivity - currently I'm on two projects and have a 10-11 hour travel time on Mondays - this is not conducive to getting 8 hours of work in along with all that travel.
    Barriers:
    1. Accenture management still prefers to manage people in person - additional training on how to manage off-site employees could resolve some of that concern.
    2. Additional training for people who are working off-site to 'manage' both their Accenture management as well as their client could provide 'as-good-as' or better results,
    3. Efforts to sell the benefits of off-site work to the client could be increased.
