“Work harder, play hard”
I have been working at Accenture full-time for more than 7 years
Pros – - Good compensation
- Some genuinely great people to work with
- Can make quick progression if your're good and know how to play the game
- Opportunity to get involved in pretty much any kind of work (see caveat in 'Cons')
Cons – - Long hours
- Isn't as meritocratic as some might have you believe
- Constant pressure to move to next level (applies to Consulting only)
- While there is opportunity to work in all sorts of areas, it can be very difficult to get a role in what you actually want to do
Advice to Senior Management – The decisions you make can have a profound effect on the work/life balance of your team
