Pros

Large organisation with many people and resources that you can utilise. Opportunity to work in new business sectors, e.g capital markets and gain experience where otherwise openings in these areas would not be possible. E.g if you dont have banking experience then getting a job at a London investment bank is impossible., but at Accenture you can get that experience

Cons

Solutions is for experienced hires, Consulting for home grown employees. Solutions people get little recognition for their experience and are usually put in at a lower grade than they would otherwise in industry. Further to this promotion is unfair in structure. e.g. a Senior Consultant in Consulting is eligible for promotion after 1 year, in Solutions a Senior Systems Analyst must wait 2 years. Further cons are the promotion process itself, its all about getting your friends on side to puch you through and it doesnt really matter at all what your actual ability and perfomance was. In general hard work and competency is less appreciated than the ability to self promote and be false

Most are home grown therefore the opinion regarding solutions and consulting will be ignored
