You have annual performance review with career supervisor in which you can learn how you contributed to projects and which point you need to improve.

Cons

Working in this company in Japan require employee to fit to Japanese work style even though it is American company.

    Pros

    The work we learnt was great, Lots of opportunities to grow, Learnt a lot of hands on C, UNIX and Perl. Got to work with some great minds, great ideas. Inspirations and motivations galore!

    Cons

    The long hours we spent on the project was exhausting. Be considerate to the resources. Dont burn a candle on both ends. Rather than over estimating the budget and under estimating the time. Keep enough buffer to handle all scenarios.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Let the work speak for the people. Find ways to shift people so that they can grow in the field of their choice rather than stifling someone in what the company wants them to do. Remember that people's attitude changes over time and that may translate to a new role for them.
