Accenture – “I still enjoy being at Accenture”

Pros

Opportunities abound if you know what you want and can work at it. Benefits are good. Very digital company - make things easier and flexible. Very nice people to work with - knowledge sharing and collaboration is strong. Opportunity to lear if you can make the time for self study.

Cons

Salary tends to be low even though it's comparable to other companies in the same industry. Very limited tuition re-imbursement - place to much premium on internal learning opportunities. Tend to place too much emphasis on extra curricular activities when it comes to performance ratings and promotions.

Advice to Senior Management

Can do better on salaries. Most importantly, the tuition re-imbursement policy should be considered. I can't really understand why a company of Accenture's caliber will place such a low emphasis on enabling its employees to get advanced degrees. Of course if you come in with advance degree they love it but they don't enable you (at least not directly) once you are in already in. Career management (promotions, ratings, etc.) can be improved.
