I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 3 years)

Pros

Great challenges, experienced people with good opportunities for client exposure. The roles and type of work varies greatly even if you are in the same team.

Cons

Could contain some long hours. You will have to stay committed to achieve your goals.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Don't commit to unreasonable targets just for the sake of making sales. There are usually new members in the team that is still learning

I worked at Accenture full-time (more than 5 years)

    Pros

    - Accenture has a great brand name and is very respected among all the clients.
    - Promotions and pay increments have gotten thin in recent years but that is attributable to the slumped economy rather than the firm.
    - The company has the right frameworks in place to manage everything. This makes it easy to develop ideas and execute them quickly.

    Cons

    - Recently, many HRs and managers have borrowed practices from companies like Infosys and Wipro, which are not quite popular among their employees when it comes to employee rewards & recognition as well as work/life balance. As a result, Accenture does not have the shine as it had 4-5 years ago. The difference in employee management by a long-time Accenture manager and a newly-minted laterally hired one is significantly different.
    - HRs pay no heed to an employee concern when a manager is in the wrong. This has to change.
    - Securing an international opportunity in most cases is quite difficult and takes a lot of time.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

To encourage career transitions among employees. There are many who have spent considerable time in the company and are keen on a "rotational program" to work in a different role. But the current org structure makes it very challenging to achieve a switch. An employee will be talented and can succeed in a different role better suited to his/her personality.
