Pros

Corporate Culture - relaxed, and open environment that values sharing of information, ideas, and experience.
People - motivated individuals who aren't antiquated in their thinking. Open door policy all around at all levels

Cons

Over promising on project timeline estimates without taking feedback from other similar projects or lessons learned. Seems to be an issue on every project regardless of industry, capability, custom/prepackaged software, etc.

Advice to Senior Management

Look for ways to better communicate with people honestly and provide visibility to peers on what other people are doing at their level early in the performance cycle. Provide concrete and measurable examples and targets for people to reach and base reviews on that, rather than perception of roles/accomplishments (compare apples to apples).
