Good place to start and learn but they will beat you to death

Level C (Former Employee)
Atlanta, GA

ProsThe biggest plus is that they'll hire you out of college and they don't seem to care what your major is or how well you did in school. There are tons of positions so you can learn quite a lot in a short amount of time. They also provide a fairly good training budget so you can get at least one industry training class per year if you work the system properly.

ConsThey will absolutely kill you. There are two types of employees at Accenture - the worthless filler people and the small number that do all of the work. If you show any aptitude you will be abused. This is not necessarily all bad - you will learn a ton while you're getting killed but at some point you will burn out and need to move on. Make sure you are always looking for a new job after you get around 2 years of experience and don't worry about leaving anyone behind.

Advice to Senior ManagementTreat your people as better than just numbers and you'll have better retention.

Great learning opportunity but lacks work-life balance

    Senior Manager (Former Employee)
    New York, NY

I worked at Accenture full-time for more than 5 years

Pros: Ability to continuously learn on projects in fast paced environments Great… Cons: very poor work life balance Most companies atleast pay lip service to work-life balance, but this does not even do that High sales pressure… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More

Great for now, but no job growth

    Anonymous Employee (Current Employee)

I have been working at Accenture full-time for more than 3 years

Pros: Great benefits Work from home Great boss Technically interesting work Autonomy Cons: No long term career growth Pay is OK. Budget so tight that training and tools are less than the average for a software development position Leadership appears disengaged… Advice to Senior Management: Stop focusing on cutting costs, squeezing people, and squeezing margins to maximize shareholder value. Stop focusing on fire-fighting and start… No, I would not recommend this company to a friend More
