Great opportunities to learn a lot in a short time but pay so far is dreadful.

I have been working at Accenture full-time (less than a year)

Pros

Decent benefits, opportunities to travel, experience, and the people I worked with seemed competent.

Cons

If you are a developer, they will undervalue and underpay you and give you half of the vacation days as a BA in Consulting workforce. Supposedly this is going to remedied soon, but right now they would be an awful choice long term.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Your developers make you a lot of money, so overworking and underpaying them will eventually backfire.

I worked at Accenture full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Great opportunity to work for a global company.

    Cons

Very segmented company. There's very little interaction with others outside one's own work group. Sometimes too focus on the global-side of things and not on the local/regional stuff.

Current Employee - Management Consulting Manager in San Francisco, CA

I have been working at Accenture full-time (more than 8 years)

    Pros

Good place to gain experience, smart people, opportunities to work with many different clients. Compensation adjusted regularly to be competitive with the market.

    Cons

Travel and client commitments make it hard to have a personal life and family. Very competitive culture makes it difficult to build close relationships with colleagues.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Formalize career paths for women who want to have a family and cannot travel every week or work 70 hours/wk on a regular basis.
