    Pros

Work with smart people in projects that even large companies cannot plan an execute. Learn a lot. Build a nice resume with large-project accomplishments. Work for a recess-proof company that is very strategic, financially sound, and very well managed. Promotion were very few in 2009, but they immediately corrected and promoted people (as normal) in early 2010. While others (IBM, HP, etc.) were laying off thousands of employees Accenture did not have a formal lay-off program. They just laid off some people that while in between projects, they could not get staffed in another project after X number of weeks.

    Cons

Work insane hours. When working with the India Delivery Center expect very poorly skilled people. No work-life balance...just work

    Advice to Management

Start getting to know more technology. You would not need Senior Managers with just people skills if you were to build Senior Managers with strong Technical Senior Managers, which are the tiny minority among Accenture's Senior Managers. Do not promote Managers to Senior Managers if they do not have deep technical skills. Start working more with US, Canadian, Mexican, and Brazilian universities to build your pipeline.

    Pros

They like to pretend that they actually care your work-life balance, and it shows that they at least try.

    Cons

They don't really care about what they force you to do. You can say "No" to any particular role, but you'll be flagged in the systems. You can't say No twice.

    Advice to Management

Listen to what your people say. They may just be right.
