Accenture Review

Former Employee - Experienced Consultant in San Francisco, CA
Former Employee - Experienced Consultant in San Francisco, CA

I worked at Accenture full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Great opportunity to try multiple skill sets and make contacts within your industry

Cons

Travel. Travel. Travel... Excessive travel is why I left.

Advice to Management

Advice: Connect yourself within the firm. Banding and calibration are based upon who knows your work not necessarily the quality of your effort.

    Pros

Great benefits and great training but that is really all of the pros

    Cons

In the services workforce there is very little room for career progression and they claim it is always because there is never the budget for it. It really doesn't matter how well you do because you are treated like just a number and a dollar sign.

    Advice to Management

When selling work leave room in the contract budget to promote your employees that work hard because you lose a lot of people when their careers never progress.

My experience was absolutely horrible at accenture

I worked at Accenture full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

There are a few perks: You get to travel to different parts of the world and you get paid somewhat well

    Cons

Too big and not enough onboarding attention to employees that did not grow in accenture

    Advice to Management

You have to actually "grow up" in accenture to even be able to do well, meaning it would be best if you were hired out of college. Those who have experience consulting would have a tough time working there. Please have a program where you learn how to's in accenture for experienced hires.
