Pros

Accenture gives you lots of opportunities, including interesting work, travel and you'll become an expert at something very quickly.

Cons

Welll....the opportunities don't come immediately and they aren't offered to everyone. If you work hard and ask, they're available, but nobody ever will just come up and offer it to you. Also, you'll be an expert, but often people don't plan their careers are are forced it roles they don't want. Again, you can plan around this, but if you want a company where you can coast, Accenture is not for you.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Great company. My major concern would be to better manage expectations of new joiners. Not everyone will get promoted in a year, not everyone will work overseas. I think HR and management seem to create an attitude that everyone at Accenture will get these things, when in reality they only go to people that perform and push for them

    Pros

    -Exposure to high profile clients
    -They invest in training
-You get to work with some really clever people
Certainly a good place to start a career

    Cons

-There is a lot of travelling, but that is the nature of a consulting career
-The performance management process is not the fairest because you are represented by your current project manager not your counselor in the rating meetings. This means that you can be at a disadvantage if you start a new project a month or two before the end of the performance period.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Say thank you a bit more often to show that you appreciate the hard work and long hours that people put in - sometimes this goes a long way than financial rewards.

I worked at Accenture full-time (more than 3 years)

    Pros

Well structured and great exposure specially while working on big projects. Senior management very transparent and easily accessible. Great experience on working at a big MNC

    Cons

Easy to get lost in the crowd and may not be satisfied with the ratings which could be affected by politics. Compensation not the best in the industry

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more flexible with helping employees transfer to different locations. May lose some good resources as a result of being very stern with relocations
