Pros

Strong Credentials of Company; deep client relationships; senior management engaged in company success; strong culture - most folks understand the "secret sauce" of the companies culture which is important

Cons

Compensation much lower than other consultant companies; benefits on average to other companies; entry level employees not very skilled - sometimes more of a body shop

Advice to ManagementAdvice

More investment in middle/upper management; higher entry level senior executive compensation; more focus on senior manager development; senior managers are often "left out" of key decisions

    Pros

    Good brand name for the resume
    Lots of work in the Washington DC area right now
    Enough flexibility in consulting workforce to get a diverse set of experiences, but you have to be proactive
    Extensive training opportunities

    Cons

    Average compensation and benefits
    With so many projects, it may take a while to figure out where you fit best and how get to there
    Long hours with no overtime pay
    Possibly subject to intense travel demands

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

    Allocate employees to the projects/service lines that they are most interested in
    Better compensate employees or they will leave for better work/life balance or more money
    Implement 360 feedback
