Pros

Accruent is a great company, and generally provide great products to their clients. The work space is nice, and they are aiming high and reaching their goals. There are many people who know how to get stuff done and know how to execute in management.

Cons

The compensation is entirely inadequate, most of the employees in the Engineering and Support departments are running ragged, because they are doing the work of 2~4 people, and being compensated about 75% of what someone doing 1 persons worth of work in that position should earn.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

The presentation on how people move up in Accruent was insulting to the employees intelligence. The way the employee satisfactions servery is presented playing off the fact that the company thinks the compensation is very dissatisfying and is played off it, "well that's not the way we do business" is highly insulting for those who are putting out and working over time constantly and seeing no additional compensation.

    Pros

This company hires based on potential. Experience is wonderful, but potential can make up some of the gaps in experience. In return, the salaries are a bit lower than market value.

The company is invested in the idea of "Work Hard; Play Hard". There's an excellent break room and regular social events.

There's an extensive training program in place for most products.

    Cons

Salary is a bit low to start.

You're doing well. Just make sure to keep reaching out to the regular guys and girls. We like knowing what's going on.

    Pros

Really motivated people make Accruent an exciting place to work. The company is still small enough that anyone can make a huge impact. Merit based promotions motivate employees to do their best.

    Cons

I can't think of any at the moment. They do expect you to work really hard if you want to advance, but I don't think that is a bad thing. If you are into a very structured system of how you can expect to get raises and promotions this might be a con.
