Pros

There is opportunity to make your mark, to take the lead, if you are willing to do so. There has been substantial turnover, and as with many consulting firms, due to the market place, alot of fat has been trimmed off the bone so to speak. In that kind of environment, you can step up to the plate and make a difference.

Cons

There is not alot of communication and coordination between central administration and those out in the field. There are rare opportunities to meet and mix with collegues in other divisions of the company. You need to be willing to work on your own or in small groups. You do not get many chances to talk to people outside your team to get a pulse on how things are going elsewhere.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Provide better communication to those out in the field, provide more opportunities for staff to feel more like a part of the company, rather than part of a division.

    Poor overall management oversite of field consultants. Very fragmented and not uniform in meeting client needs.

    Pros

    Provides the tools needed to meet client needs. Management very knowledgable in their field and can provide advice and guidance when approached.

    Cons

    Poor management oversight of staff. Does not properly plan out hours to adequately complete job, thereby forcing staff to complete jobs at home without recording the extra required hours (poor planning/billing). Below average benefits. Advancement for individuals if knowledgable on Sales, not audit.

    You can reduce high employee turnover by not short changing project hours. Create career paths for managers to advance within the company.
