Pros

Smart employees, good teamwork, supportive of career development, pretty good work-life balance for most employees, good vacation/holiday time

Cons

Occasionally work is under resourced

    I worked at Achaogen as a contractor (more than a year)

    Pros

    Great place to learn, intelligent co-workers

    Cons

    Lots of contractors - so whenever a contractor leaves, which is every other day, someone has to be trained from scratch.

    I have been working at Achaogen

    Pros

    Nice office overlooking the water. Inspiring work on antibiotics.

    Cons

    Toxic culture with no trust and lots of blame. Very poor internal communication. Employee turnover is getting worse.
