I have been working at Acosta full-time (more than 5 years)

Pros

Very flexible hours, good insurance, benefits. I can start my day when I want. I make my own schedule and can change it if needed, even last minute!

Cons

They do not pay nearly enough to cover the cost of gas and wear and tear on my car!

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be good to you employees and they will be good to you! Quit taking away the benefits that made this an awesome company. If I lose my fixed income, which I might very soon, I will have to quit after almost 6 years of service. I can not afford to waste my money on gas if I lose that!

I worked at Acosta part-time (less than an year)

    Pros

    • can work nights while you go to school in the day
    • minimum supervision
    • you get a check
    • Fridays off

    Cons

    • no REAL training
    • you can sometimes be working up till 4 or 5 am.
    • some of the supervisors of the stores you work at are rude and mean. These are people who have to sign off of your work before you can leave for the night.
    • often seem to make mistakes on your checks
    • They have no office in Michigan. You may meets your supervisor at a restaurant for orientation or at the store they have you work at.
    • They don't supply any tools for you to do your work. Like, measuring tape, scissors, tape, step ladders, gloves for working in extremely cold freezers, markers, pens, etc.
