I worked at Acosta part-time (less than a year)

Pros

It gives you the ability to work at your own pace without having a supervisor present to add pressure.
The hands on learning of the job, and building relationships with management is great practice for other jobs or everyday life.

Cons

Supervisor training was indirect and confusing at times. Sometimes I did more than I should and sometimes I did less than I should, but lack of communication was the reason.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

Be more clear when providing training to newer employees

I worked at Acosta part-time (less than a year)

    Pros

Creating your own hours, within limits. Had a great supervisor, but that is all a matter of luck.

    Cons

Company didn't hire new people, but instead put more work on employess. By the time I left the company, I had 10 Walmarts and 8 Home Depots to cover! And I was a P/T employee. Also, if you are injured you cannot do the job at all (I broke my leg).

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Hire more people. Make the regions smaller. I covered a huge area, travel-wise, from almost to PA to Staten Island. Too much time in traffic.
