    Pros

    - Fun co-workers. Young atmosphere with majority of people in their 20's
    - Joe, Geoff, and Jeff are great guys to work for and promote team environment
    - Very dependent on what account you sell for- Some are strictly telemarketing/cold calling others are account management
    - Free snacks/fruit
    - Close to L and Metra
    - Very nice, new office space

    Cons

At first, the morning meetings are fun, but after a while they are pretty annoying. Unless a guest speaker comes in please decrease the frequency.
-Located in Evanston, which can go either way(best Chicago suburb, but not downtown)
-As I said earlier, completely dependent on account. Some are horrible and some are solid
    - Base Salary is decent at best(20k-40k + commissions). Doubtful any reps made 6 figures
    - Limited opportunities for growth within the company- very few get promoted, some people get hired directly by clients
    - Very high turnover- as with most entry level sales positions, people are constantly coming and going. Average person is there 6 months to year

    Pros

One of the best things about Acquirent is the liberating sales environment. There is a lot of opportunity to be yourself and carry your own responsibilities without having someone peeking over your shoulder or asking for sales pipeline updates everyday. You really do have an enormous opportunity to learn about how sales' cycles work and gain enormous amounts of knowledge. The culture is strongly built upon having a good attitude and putting in effort, which WON'T go unnoticed. Employees can get to know the partners on a personal basis and have one-on-one time with them. The amount of transparency that company offers, in terms of how it makes money and what its strategic plans are, is very unique. There is a TON of opportunity in this industry as well and Acquirent shows it has the right type of leadership to capitalize on that opportunity. Acquirent does truly care about its people, there is little no zero office politics here.

    Cons

Acquirent has a difficult time forecasting Sales reps' commission potential especially with new clients; I have seen several people leave the organization because real commissions fell well short of what was forecasted for them. There also needs to be more opportunity for professional advancement within the organization itself. The company struggles with finding the most assertive and skilled professionals but struggles to keep the talent it does find anyway because that talent can make more money elsewhere OR sees no opportunity for internal advancement. The company also needs to be more structured with its performance reviews so that employees can see how they've advanced beyond their sales. There is also nothing formalize for earning a base raise.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

More balance performance reviews and employee recognition; right now only the employees who are on accounts with transnational-sales are recognized. More mobility between employees and accounts. Figure out a way to offer career opportunity and income potential to the employees have shown the attitude, competence, and dedication that Acquirent craves.
