I have been working at Actavis U.S. as an intern for less than a year

Pros

The company as a whole seems to have it together, they are organized and have a great internship program. As an intern they want you to learn and grow so they give you projects that matter to someone other than your boss. They also have monthly lunches to teach you about presenting, networking, etc. and a bowling pizza party at the end, with your supervisor

Cons

While the projects do matter, they can get a little boring when you have to correct or modify any of the standard operating procedures, but that comes with any company that is being regulated by the FDA and the DEA. Also, the first shift employees seemed to be a little less happy than the second shift (weekend). It can be assumed that they felt a little micro managed, which can drag on people over time.

Advice to ManagementAdvice

I didn't see any employee appreciation while I was there, unless you count giving out gift cards for implementing new safety ideas. I think more regular recognition for a job well done would boost morale.

I worked at Actavis U.S. full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Acatavis is very forward thinking and can operate efficiently to achieve the big (Global) picture. Offer great benefits.

    Cons

LOW morale within employees, New Corp HR far less knowledgeable,Upper management is clueless and is greatly disconnected with its front line workers especially those who were employed during the REAL CEO era when ALL employees mattered

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Management has a HUGE disconnect with the employees. need to get in touch with the 'lower level' employees and GIVE them a little more reward/recognition instead of hoarding and spreading such to upper management. Suggest all upper management watch a season or 2 or the TV show UnderCover Boss and get a clue Paul Bisaro !!
