    I worked at Acxiom

    Pros

Worked for a good senior manager, but her bosses were clueless
Worked with good people on my team
    Work from home was permitted

    Cons

    No clear direction from leadership
Middle management at VP level was horrible
    Worst benefits I ever had
other teams reward their people and we continue to get nothing, even though we are the ones who have to take all the calls and explain their mistakes to the customers
    Terrible direction from Conway office

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

If you are going to make us report to a VP from Conway, please give my team one that isn't a complete joke. He tries to be funny, but is not and doesnt have a clue what we do. Its a help desk - it isnt rocket science. Mr. Howe, if you ever come to this board, please take a long look at your VP level leaders. They are killing your outsourcing business!!!

I have been working at Acxiom

    Pros

    Great flexibility for schedules
    Interesting product/service offering mix
    Great clients
You can coast as long as you stay under the radar.

    Cons

You are typically punished for taking too much initiative
No regular annual reviews and/or raises
Way too political - if you're not part of the good ole boy network, your chances of moving up are slim to none.
The delivery organization is a disaster and the current leadership is made up of order-takers instead of leaders.

    Advice to ManagementAdvice

Get rid of some of your VPs who have been around for a long time. They are not adding value, just continuing to run the status quo. Bring in people who have actual experience running delivery for large organizations. Don't let the sales/markets teams dictate standards. Rein them in and make sure you are selling what we can actually deliver.
