Pros

Gain direct sales experience, get face-to-face customer experience, get feet wet, learn the data integration / database marketing / analytics business

Cons

frequent layoffs with lower morale, very limited training, weak healthcare and benefits, no pension (only 401K), if you are layed off you may be flagged as never being able to work for the company again

Advice to Senior Management

provide better sales training, follow the reality principal with regard to how markets are performing before laying people off.. and provide some better marketing support for sales people
